You are finding someone else's product that has already been created and selling it for them. The product owner gives you a website with his product(s) on it, and every time you get someone to buy a product off that site, you earn some money for that sale. So, in it's broadest sense, affiliate marketing has two steps: choosing a product, then getting people to buy it.</p><p>When choosing a product, you are going to want to get something that a certain group of people will want to buy - it has to have some demand. Once you think of something that fits this category, either try finding a place to promote as an affiliate through Google (type in the product plus the word "affiliate" - you should get plenty of results to use as products for an affiliate) or use clickbank.com or cj.com. Both of these offer a large database of eBooks (electronic books) you can sell.</p><p>Next, you must advertise it! I recommend creating a website of your own about the product, as it is much more flexible and leads to higher sales. You can put traffic monitoring on this website, as well as change how it looks to see what effect it has on people buying the product. There are several free ways to promote your website. You can try traffic exchanges, article directories, creating videos, blogging, Squidoo lenses, forum marketing, and more. You will want to find a phrase that people will search for in Google when they would like to buy a product like this. This phrase also needs to have little competition - say 20,000 or less in Google when you surround the keyphrase in quotes. Then, write an article or blog with the keyphrase in it several times (about 7 times tops... but at least 3 or 4 times, and definitely have the phrase in the title). Now whenever someone goes to your affiliate link and makes a purchase, you earn easy money in college!</p><p>So the next time you are searching for easy money in college, look no further than your computer!
