Interactivity is a very important aspect of modern advertising. The ability of a consumer to feel like he is interacting - in real time or close to it - with a product or company can play a major role in getting that consumer to become a customer.
To be truly interactive, the consumer must literally be able to interact at very close to real time. This obviously rules out traditional marketing tools like print ads and television ads. In reality, it eliminates all but internet advertising, usually done through a company website. With your website, you want to offer customers a simple but interactive experience. You want them to feel that they are truly interacting, in a positive way, with your company.
However, you cannot expect customers to simply "show up" at your website by chance. The most effective strategy is one that blends together aspects of traditional marketing techniques with your website and internet marketing efforts. Here are some ways to help you do that.
Brochure Printing
Many companies mistakenly ignore such items as brochures once they get their website running, thinking that print literature is then obsolete. This is very erroneous thinking, however. Brochures, even in this technology age, can generate a great deal of profits on their own, as well as drive traffic to your site.
Think of it this way. Yes, website traffic can be generated by search engines. But, unless a customer is already interested in your type of product, he is not going to do a search for that type of product, right? So you have to find another way to make him excited about your industry. Brochures are a great way to do that.
When you design your brochure printing, think quality all the way through the process. You want to avoid, at all costs, conveying the image that you are cheap. Invest in a quality commercial printer, and get full color brochures printed. Make sure your website address is featured prominently! Then distribute them to your target customers, and watch the traffic to your site increase in no time.
Newsletter Printing
Another often forgotten marketing technique is the company newsletter. Whether you do it in traditional print form, or through email (or, preferably, both) you should consider writing a regular newsletter to distribute to potential customers. Include interesting information, not just bland business lingo, and, as always, feature your website address prominently. This can be a sneaky way to get more traffic to your site.
Business Card Printing
Even in today's computer age, most businesspeople have business cards. But not all of them realize how important they can be. When you get your business cards made, get high quality, full color ones. And, of course, make sure your website is very visible on each one.
If you use all of these more traditional techniques, you will notice a marked increase in your internet traffic. Then, if you continue to offer a truly interactive experience on your website, you will constantly cultivate happy and loyal customers.
