Every where you look people are telling you that you can make money online, there are hundreds of products being sold to help you to make money online as well ranging from 2 or 3 US$ to hundreds of thousands of dollars. I know - I bought some of them and most of these products are absolute rubbish. The only people they make rich are the ones selling them.

It is really difficult to find real good programs telling you how to make money online that are easy to understand and have really great content with a mentor who can also take the time to help you.

In a moment I am going to tell you some of the secrets that I found.

I spent hundreds of dollars and hundreds of hours searching for someone who can show me what to do and help me make money at the same time. Most of the information I found was confusing and without direction and no one was really able to show me correct ways of making money online.

However, there were a couple of really great tutorials I found that set me up correctly and they were not too expensive at under 50US$ for the whole program.

What I found was really amazing and here is a summary of some of the key thoughts:

1 Before you start any business especially online - research what you are doing and how to do it.

Now I know this may sound obvious, but I didn't realize the rules of the internet. I thought that putting a blog up online was simple. It is, but it won't get you noticed and you won't earn any money. There are specific ways to set up a blog so that you won't get banned by the search engines and specific ways to set up Adsence so that you do not loose your account.

2 Find a niche.

I was wrong! I thought that if there were millions of people looking for a subject it would be impossible to not make money, but I was wrong. When these people are searching for "fast cars" (for example) on Google they are not really wanting to spend money generally, but just looking for information and pictures. However when you go niche such as "fast cars in the 1950's" the viewers tend to be specialists looking for real material and if there are only a few people selling the material on the net, more people are likely to buy from them. So find your niche.

3 Follow the rules.

It is boring sometimes but follow all the rules. Google and Adsense have really strict rules about content and finding traffic and if you do not obey the rules they will ban you and you will have to start again. If you can! Take the time to find out the rules. I know from experience that I didn't read the rules correctly with some forums and I got booted out of one forum I really liked because I forgot the rules and put a link in where I should not have. So follow the rules.

4 Find a great mentor.

Look around the internet and see who is doing well. If you spend a little time on the net, you will see certain names that keep coming up. These guys know what they are doing. Research them, look at their sites, email them, and ask for help. I am producing a really exciting program at the moment with a team in America. I joined their free newsletter and responded to some of their articles and over a period of about a month I got to know (via email) the owner of the site and he invited me to team up with him. We are now well on our way to producing a new product that will be sold on the internet. If you ask nicely you will find that most people are willing to help.

5 Don't screw anyone.

This is really important. No mater what you do, do not screw anyone. The internet is huge, but also very small and news travels fast. I have bought products before where the seller says that if you are not satisfied with the product they will return the money. Of course many emails later and many months I am still waiting and never heard from them again. I make sure that none of my students ever buy from them. Do not screw your customers, your suppliers or anyone else in business. It is a terrible way to get a reputation and nothing good will come from anything with a bad baseline.
