After reading many articles on affiliate marketing I've realized the enormous amount of information on the subject and the multitude of methods and strategies surrounding this ever growing world of the internet it can be very difficult for the average person to get into an internet based business, whether it be by means of a web site selling a product or service, through other avenues such as membership sites and information programs promising to hold your hand while teaching you to make overnight fortunes.

Be very leary of internet programs the offer rapid success,overnight fortunes and living the million dollar lifestyle. I know most of us want so much for these things to be true that we spend millions of dollars every year on information programs thinking this will be the one or maybe that could be me.

I have been one of those people myself for many years wanting and hoping for that money to fall from the tree. the fact is yes the internet does generate billions of dollars of revenue every year this is a fact and millions of dollars are made from programs offering the get rich overnight scheme.Those type of scams will never work and the only one getting rich is the one offering the program. Most of the information found in these programs is readily available on the internet you just have to look for it.

I would say to most people this business is not for you. Yes it can be very profitable for some that have the drive and determination. But do not be fooled into thinking that their is no work involved. Knowledge is power and the more you learn the more you earn.

I myself am fairly new to the business,I have been a firefighter/EMT for many years and decided to do something on the side as many of my brothers in this career do to earn extra money. I can promise you that you will not get rich fighting fire or riding on an ambulance but it is the most enjoyable job I have ever had. It requires years of continuing education and many hours of hard work and training for very little monetary compensation. So when I started into the internet business I quickly realized It was very much the same as far as if you want to succeed it does require education,hard work and training.

So for affiliate marketing yes their is a lot of money to be made if you want it bad enough and are willing to put fourth the effort and put in the hours. Just like those guys out their on the trucks you will need to train on your skills every day and the more you train the better you will be.

I hope anyone looking to get into the internet business will take heed it can be a great career if you arm yourself with education and follow it with determination.
