We humans tend to be creatures of habit, and while that can be good in certain situations it can also prevent us from broadening our horizons a bit.
This is especially true when it comes to going on holiday. If you like to sunbathe and wander into the sea for an occasional swim you might wonder why there is any need to try somewhere different this year. But in truth the world is host to some truly stunning beaches that aren't very well known, and once you find one you'll be glad you made the effort to go somewhere else for a change.
Devil's Bay might not sound like a beach that will draw you in, but the Virgin Islands are renowned for their beaches and this one is no exception. Devil's Bay is relatively small and is surrounded by rocks and luscious greenery but the sand is wonderful and the crystal blue water will take your breath away.
Another hot spot worth trying is the Seychelles. You won't have any trouble finding a great beach here, since they have over sixty to choose from. The Seychelles is made up from several smaller islands although Mahe is the main one, with plenty to see and do during your stay as well.
Antigua has even more beaches to choose from - well over three hundred in fact. All of which means there is something that will suit everyone, from families to couples and even people who are on holiday on their own.
The beach of Olympos in Turkey is one you should definitely make a beeline for if you don't like to feel crowded. It is a protected beach too thanks to the turtles, so you are guaranteed peace and quiet for your whole stay. This is what makes it an ideal choice for a more peaceful getaway.
If an African beach holiday sounds appealing, why not try visiting Zanzibar for a wide choice of luscious beaches to relax on? If you book into a typical cottage on the beach you won't have to make a long journey to have a refreshing swim each morning either.
If a private beach is your idea of the ultimate taste of luxury though, you could do no better than book into a Dubai hotel to see amazing views of the Arabian Gulf. Although many private beaches elsewhere in the world can be on the small side, that certainly isn't the case in Dubai. And when you want to take a break from the hard work of sunbathing, you have the whole of Dubai to explore before heading back to your luxurious hotel room.
As you can see, there is no reason to visit the same old beach every year; the world is full of stunning alternatives and all it takes is a little research to find the best ones for you.
