When I decided to invest in an affiliate program, I spent several weeks doing what felt similar, I can imagine, to smashing my head up against concrete over and over again! If my career had have depended on it, I still would not have been able to locate a factually based, evaluative review on ANY affiliate program ANYWHERE in cyberspace. I am now an affiliate sponsor of one of these programs, and won't insult your intelligence by presenting myself as a saint, who after such a traumatizing failed search, now writes unbiased marketing reviews, all day long, to unselfishly help the people of our online marketing world!
I am a marketer, and I am hoping to endorse myself as a program sponsor through this lens. However, there is a good reason why I can guarantee that the information you will read each week here, is unbiased and beneficial to us both.
It is really important to me that the people who become affiliates of mine, are not 'impulse-investors'. This is also for selfish reasons. If a customer is given 'hype', in convincing them to make a quick purchase, they will consequently be unprepared for the action required on their part, in 'setting-up' and marketing their site, after purchase.
This is something completely different to the 'training' that every other sponsor promises to provide the 'best of the best' of-after purchase!
This preparation I am writing about is understanding that this 'training' will be only a list of possible options that can be used as marketing techniques. The training will never decide for you which is the best to use. It will take you a while to profit if you aren't prepared to make the right decision that suits you personally.
In this lens I will teach potential customers what to consider when choosing between programs, sponsors and marketing options.
Apart from a few, which I will later write about, most of the affiliate programs 'work', if you know how to market. However, choosing a sponsor is important.
Some Sponsors may recommend marketing tactics in the 'training' that may use a 'hyped sales pitch', and be effective in getting quick sales with little effort, for instance. However, having affiliates who have been rushed into joining may leave you with hours of complaints to deal with. Even though your sponsor promised you the 'best' marketing training, this might not be the 'best' strategy for you.
I don't want customers who are dissatisfied that they were not properly prepared- even for $100k a week! There's no point making a great income if you have to spend all day dealing with complaints and even your own guilt! When would you enjoy your profits?
This is something to consider when choosing a sponsor. Each has different recommended marketing tactics in their training. I choose to take the time to write informative honest reviews as my main marketing campaign; it takes less time than dealing with complaints! It's also free and the 'impulse sales' I sacrifice, by not using 'hype, I have been getting back, tripled, using this means.
I find it ridiculous that there are not other sponsors, giving this information to prospective affiliates, before purchase. I suppose this lack of morals and common-sense, is lucky for me though! I have an untapped marketing-angle, to use and teach to my affiliates which, coincidently, is also based on honest values. The ONLY way I do business. Finding affiliates to join my program, who also want to adhere to these same values, is the reason for this lens.
Talk about a 'gap in the market', concerning unbiased reviews! The sponsors I encountered, must have thought I was absolutely 'bog-stupid'. Anytime I showed interest in their product, my email account was hammered with a continual stream of spam, singing only the praises of the program, with no substantial, factual content I could use to evaluate it sensibly! There are challenges faced by every beginner entering into any of the competing programs, including my own. With the continually updated information in this lens, hopefully you will be better prepared to implement a great 'plan of attack' after your investment.
All the Best,
Kate Onslow
