Operation Bad Karma was an event that showcased good paintball and great sportsmanship! I had the pleasure of being a referee during the event, and that allowed me to get a unique third person perspective of the game.

I was able to witness unique tactics and awesome firefights. I saw great sportsmanship throughout the day that allowed everyone to have fun. The most veteran players were teaching some of the newer players what to do and teaching them how to be better. I saw players congratulating each other on good shots and great moves.

One of the most entertaining sights of the day was the constant back and forth battle to control the "Communications Tower". This area of the field was always full of players from each team dueling to control the tower and gain strategic advantage. I watched excellent teamwork from both sides as each player relied on their team to help win the battle. In the end the blue team made a great push to control the tower and fended off multiple attacks from the red team to defend their territory.

The sniper mission added a unique aspect to the game. It gave players a chance to showcase their stealth skills as well as have an opportunity to score major points and ensure victory for their team. Although the escort did a great job and protected the high value targets the entire time, the snipers had a great time and thanked everyone involved for the unique experience.

After the main portion of the game was finished, it was time for the final battle. Epic proportions would be a good summation of the type of battle this really was. Both teams were in close proximity to each other as the battled for a single flag station. There were paintballs flying through the air from every angle and both teams made desperate moves to advance and control the flag. The battle was back and forth and after a heated struggle the blue team finally prevailed.

The game had been close, but the blue team squeaked out a victory. Both generals did a great job and, Cory. the red team general, thoroughly enjoyed his very first woodsball and scenarioball game ever. This was the feeling of every player during the day. The support staff for the event received multiple thanks and congratulations as the event was a huge success. There were several people asking when they could pre-register for the next event.

After the game was over Jared spent the next half hour giving out excellent prizes provided by all the great sponsors and everyone was excited to receive their gift. Multiple cheers arose as we announced each sponsor and thanked them for their great support.

Because of the support from each sponsor, and the sportsmanship from each player, Operation Bad Karma 2008 was voted the best event of the year by each participant we spoke with!
