No two business women are completely alike; they come in all shapes and sizes, possessing various strengths and weaknesses. No one person is skilled in every single area of business, but each person has their own unique abilities. You may excel in some or any of the following: facts & figures - you can recite your yearly budget from memory; time management may be where you shine, you may be a great motivator of people or a computer whiz. No matter how talented we are, there are always new skills we can add to increase confidence and add to the success of our business.

Marjorie has been running her own consulting firm for several years. In the past year sales have slowed and there is discernible tension among her staff. Marjorie's industry was not suffering from hard times; as a matter of fact, many of her competitors were doing better than ever. Her once pleasant staff often seemed surly and dissatisfied. Because of her business acumen, she knew she had to look very closely to determine which factors may be contributing to her business problems.

Try as she might, this talented business women could not determine what was leading to her problems. It was then she made one of the best decisions of her life - she enlisted the services of a professional in success coaching. Many women business owners are just too close to the problems to be objective - that was the case with Marjorie. The success coach came in, observed and came up with some great advice in very short order.

Employees shared that they felt their 'boss' never listened to them. Marjorie had to admit listening was never her strong suit. Her employees needed to feel validated in order to regain their confidence. Business was slipping because of the type of service her staff was providing. Marjorie began to connect with her staff and to really listen - implementing some of their very valuable suggestions. Increasing her ability to listen turned the tide and business is once again on the upswing.

Though problems still pop up, Marjorie now has the confidence, influence and skills to tackle any challenge that comes along.
